ABOUT IELTS

CRITERIA:

• Have to take the academic version of the test

• Have to get a score of at least 7.0 in each testing area and an overall score of 7.5

• Have to get these scores in the same test

• Have to get these scores in your most recent sitting of the test (IELTS is valid for 2 years)

You have to submit acceptable IELTS scores in order to book PLAB part 1.

Also I want to clear the confusion between taking UKVI academic or just academic.

Plain ACADEMIC IELTS is sufficient to apply for GMC registration and also VISA (since tier 2 visa is a health care visa now). This has been active since October 2019.
